   Official VW08 Bar
 
Because the networking starts when you get to town and doesn't end when the show's over for the day, we've designated Cooper's Tavern in the New Yorker Hotel (see below) as the official bar. 

It's essentially the hotel bar so if you're staying there for the show you've only got a short walk upstairs for your night's sleep (what's left of it). 

If you're arriving on April 2nd and staying in the hotel or nearby, stop by in the evening for a drink.

Official Conference Hotel

Official hotel for the Virtual Worlds 2008 Conference is the New Yorker Hotel located at 481 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY 10001.  As the official hotel we've secured the special discounted rate:

All rates are quoted in US Dollars, and are subject to 13.375% Hotel Sales Tax, $2 per room per night Occupancy Tax and a $1.50 per night Javits Expansion Tax. (sorry can't do anything about the taxes).

Reservations must be received by March 23, 2008 to receive the discounted rate.
